About Dr. Garr
Michael Garr, MD, is a board-certified Cardiologist and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His clinical interests include general cardiology, prevention of heart disease, non-invasive cardiac imaging, treatment of congestive heart failure, and adult congenital heart disease.
Dr. Garr graduated medical school from the University of Minnesota and completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship there too.

Dr. Garr has been around the Twin Cities for many years practicing at Abbott Northwestern, St. Paul Heart Clinic, and M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center. He had served as the previous chair of the non-invasive division at St. Paul Heart Clinic and head of the heart failure clinic.

Dr. Garr and his wife founded a non-profit clinic that developed exercise and nutrition programs for children and adults with obesity, special needs, and chronic medical conditions. He has been named to the Mpls. St. Paul Magazine Top Doctor list every year since 2016.

Dr. Garr is married to Dr. Cynthia Garr who practices pediatrics in St. Paul, and they have three adult children together. He enjoys reading, biking, sailing, and spending time with his German Sheperd named Zoe.
